History
The journal Reports of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Armenia (Report of NAS RA) has been published since 1944. It is one of the first academic scientific periodicals in the republic. Initially issued five times per year, the journal has been published quarterly since 1995. In its early years, materials related mainly to the exact sciences were published, but over time, its scope has expanded to encompass a broad range of scientific disciplines.
The founding purpose of Reports was to deliver the latest scientific developments to the academic community in a concise and multilingual format.
The first editor-in-chief of the journal was Academician Viktor Hambardzumyan, later - Academicians Armen Nazarov, David Sedrakyan, Sergey Hambardzumyan, Vanik Zakaryan, and Radik Martirosyan. Currently, the editor-in-chief of the journal is Academician Ashot Saghyan.
To date, 125 volumes of the journal have been published (more than 600 issues with a press volume of 3600).
