Submission Preparation Checklist
As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.- The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
- The submission file is in Microsoft Word (DOC or DOCX) or PDF format.
- Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
- Submission adheres to the requirements and complies with the Research Ethics and Publishing Policies of REPNAS.
- The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.

The REPNAS Editorial Board has waived all Article Processing Charges until 31 August 2026!
Authors are aware of Article Processing Charges (APC) outlined in the Author Guidelines and guarantee payment if the article is accepted for publication, or have applied/plan to apply for a waiver of APC charges if eligible.
Original Research Articles
Original Research Articles present findings from original research studies that add to the body of knowledge on the topic. They provide detailed descriptions of research methods, data analysis, and interpretation of results, contributing to the advancement of knowledge in the field of biology. Original research articles typically follow the traditional structure, including sections such as Introduction, Materials and Methods, Results, Discussion, and Conclusion.

Short Research Articles
Short Research Articles present concise reports of novel findings or preliminary data of broad interest and focus on a single key result or a small set of related experiments and are typically limited to 2,000–2,500 words (excluding title page, references, figures, and tables) and two figures or tables. Short research articles also follow the traditional structure, including sections such as Introduction, Materials and Methods, Results, Discussion, and Conclusion.

Review Articles
Review articles provide comprehensive and critical evaluations of existing literature on a specific topic within the field of biology. They offer a synthesis of current knowledge, identify gaps in understanding, and propose future research directions. Letters to the Editor
Letters to the editor allow readers to provide brief comments, clarifications, or responses to previously published articles in the REPNAS within the past 4 issues. These letters provide an opportunity for scholarly exchange and encourage open dialogue within the scientific community.
